Be careful what you do with that video

One of the articles I posted this past week on my web site, was about how to shoot videos of cars for eBay.

As part of that article, I created an example video using my motorhome as the featured vehicle.

I really didn’t plan to sell the motorhome, just wanted to show what it would look like in an eBay video.

So I created an eBay auction listing, and included the video in it. To keep from selling the motorhome, I set the reserve price quite high.

But then something unexpected happened.

I started getting bids.

One of the bidders even sent me an email saying, ‘nice video, it really helped me decide to bid’.

And then someone used the ‘buy it now’ button and bought the motorhome at full price!

There are at least two important lessons to be learned from this.

First, having a video can really help you sell things on eBay. Especially high priced items like cars, trucks and motorhomes.

And second, don’t list an item on eBay unless you really want to sell it. Especially if you include a video with it. Because it might sell a lot quicker than you think.
