‘What’s Changed’ by Charlie Cook

Charlie Cook’s latest blog post is titled “What’s Changed”.

Cook says, “Last weekend I was on the river in Chicago, taking the architectural tour of this beautiful city. Amongst the distinctive skyscrapers the city was known for, our tour guide pointed out the, now abandoned, old Chicago post office.

Thanks to mail order giants that included Spiegel, Sears and Montgomery Ward – at one point Chicago was the center for massive amounts of mail orders and needed this 2.5 million square foot facility”.
