The latest post on ‘Mashable’ is titled “Mashable Media Summit Rescheduled Due to Hurricane Sandy”.

Stacy Martinet says, “We have all seen over the past few days that Hurricane Sandy has greatly impacted life along the east coast. Many people are without power and water, some have experienced unthinkable tragedies and all of us are greatly affected by the limited transportation options.

While transportation is slowly being restored, it is in limited capacity and much of the city is still without power.

So, it is with a heavy heart that Mashable has decided to reschedule our annual Media Summit. The event was supposed to be this Friday (November 2), but given the damage from the storm and the limited transportation options getting around New York City, as well as traveling into the New York area, it was not responsible to hold the event this week”.
