Todd Wasserman says, “Starting soon, the icon below will let you know that Facebook is tracking you for third-party ads. The symbol, which was introduced last year, will be prominent when you hover your cursor over a Facebook ad that has been served up for a third party.

For instance, if you see an Amazon ad on Facebook for a book you were just checking out, then you’ll likely see the icon. Such ads are served up by Facebook Ad Exchange. The measure comes after Facebook’s agreement with the Council of Better Business Bureau on Monday”.
