Now listen; I’m not inclined to characterize those SEOs as scammers and frauds. I honestly hope they are not! What I tend to think is that many of these inadequate SEOs are simply (even innocently) not keeping up with important changes. They just held on to some strategies (the ones that have given SEOs a bad name) that used to work quite well, but which Google has worked hard to expose. Those out-dated (and perhaps “black hat”) tactics really don’t help the client in the long run”.
