The latest post on ‘Mashable’ is titled “Twitter Buys Startup Marakana to Power ‘Twitter University'”.

Todd Wasserman says, “In an effort to provide “world-class technical training” to its engineering staff, Twitter on Tuesday announced Twitter University, a project fueled by new acquisition Marakana.

A Twitter rep declined to give further details than what was offered in this blog post. “We’ve been working with them for several months,” wrote Chris Fry, Twitter’s SVP of engineering. “The founders, Marko and Sasa Gargenta, have impressed us with their entrepreneurial leadership, commitment to learning and technical expertise.” According to the former’s LinkedIn bio, Markana was formed in 2001. The company claims to have 11 to 50 employees“.
