Greg Sterling says, “Yahoo was named the top US internet site in July by comScore, for the first time since May 2011. That caused a minor sensation and couldn’t fully be explained by comScore or others. It happened again inAugust.
Yahoo is once again the top US internet site in terms of consumer reach and traffic for the third straight month. Tumblr is reported separately (at #30). If it were folded in to Yahoo’s total the company would have more than 40 million more monthly uniques than #2 Google”.
