Abby Callard says, “Early reports find web sales are up more than 10% compared with Cyber Monday last year.

While 7% fewer people shopped in stores on Black Friday this year compared to 2013, according to the National Retail Federation, more consumers are buying online.

Adobe Systems Inc., which released sales estimates throughout the weekend, reported online sales increased 25% year over year on Thanksgiving Day and 24% on Black Friday, and are up 14% so far for the holiday season.

Those figures don’t include figures from today, the Monday following Thanksgiving, which is often called Cyber Monday. And early results point to significant gains“.
