Adweek is launching an annual “Web Site Hot List” of the most successful online destinations for users and advertisers and the first top 10 list is led by Weather.com, Forbes.com, MySpace, Nick.com, and BusinessWeek Online.


Using data from Nielsen/NetRatings AdRelevance on approximately 400 sites, Adweek is launching an annual “Web Site Hot List” of the most successful online destinations for users and advertisers. The first top 10 list is led by Weather.com, Forbes.com, MySpace, Nick.com, and BusinessWeek Online.

Adweek limited the pool to ad-supported websites that create much of their own content, with a unique audience in June 2005 of at least 1 million users.

Then an Adweek Magazines SWAT team narrowed the field, basing its choices on subjective characteristics, asking questions related to attracting media executives, content of the site and the ad models it has and its future vision.
