Lane’s gift shop of Texarkana filed a click fraud suit against major search engines including Google, Yahoo/Overture, AOL and Ask Jeeves. The search engines wanted the case tried in a federal court. But it has been ruled that the case should be heard in an Arkansas state court, Miller County Circuit Court, rather than a federal courtroom.

Lane’s claims that the Internet companies knowingly overcharged it and other companies for “pay per click” advertising, and that the Internet companies conspired to create an online environment that harms advertisers.
