Google has added a new feature to Google Earth with information related to Africa, courtesy National Geographic.


Google has added a new feature to Google Earth that provides information related to Africa supplied by National Geographic. This has links to feature articles and 500 high resolution photographs of people, animals and geologic formations.

According to Google Blog, when users click an icon a pop-up balloon shows a photo and description along with links to the content. Users can follow those links “to read the entire story right where it happened”.
