AOL.com has annouced AIM Presence, a service that lets its users include their presence information and one-click access to AIM

AOL.com has announced a free service called AIM Presence which will let its users add their presence information and one-click access to AIM (AOL Instant Messenger).

This service can be added by just cutting and pasting a line of HTML code into their Web Pages.

The main purpose of this service is to let visitors to a site/blog see if its editor is available for messaging.

In a case where the Editor of that site/blog is online, the AOL “running man” icon is bright and in a case where the Editor is offline, the icon is dull. If the visitor needs to message the Editor, he also requires to be an AIM user.
