Microsoft Corp. has unveiled Microsoft Client Protection, a new product for protection against spyware and virus threats.


Microsoft Corp. has unveiled a new product for businesses which is an integrated security solution that provides protection to business laptops, desktops and fileservers against both Spyware and Virus Threats.

Microsoft Client Protection will be released in beta version by the end of this year and will be a combination of the capabilities of both antispyware and antivirus.

Microsoft will use the anitivirus software it acquired in 2003 and the antispyware product it bought in late 2004 to build this new product.

While speaking to Presspass, Mike Nash, Corporate Vice President of the Microsoft Security Business & Technology Unit says, “Security is an industry problem. Only the industry working together can solve threats to security.

We are reaching out to all our industry partners to create an alliance to make sure that we have a great dialogue so that both they and Microsoft can build great products.”
