Symantec has complained to the European Commission Antitrust Regulators about Microsoft’s venture into the security business.


Symantec Corp., a security software vendor has complained on Microsoft’s venture into the security business to the European Commission Antitrust Regulators.

This act of Symantec shows a possibility of an antitrust case against Microsoft.

When Microsoft announced plans to offer Microsoft Client Protection, the news about this possible case surfaced.

Symantec spokeswoman Genevieve Haldeman said that her company had not filed a formal complaint with the Commission, but she did not deny that an informal complaint had been made.
