Mcafee has identified a new worm, Lupper, that spreads itself by exploiting web servers that host PHP/CGI scripts.

The worm attacks web servers by sending unauthorized http requests on port 80 which allows file downloads in the PHP/CGI environment.

The infected computers form a network of servers based on peer to peer communication principles. The network is capable of accessing email addresses stored on the web server.
