25 million Americans have used the internet to sell things according to a recent study. There is an 80% growth in people vising classified ad websties.

Pew Internet and American Life Project has conducted a study on Online Activities and Pursuits and have found that the classfied ad sites are full of things offered for sale.

These include:

Tangible items such as pink plastic Christmas trees, collectible coins, wedding dresses, automobiles, books, or CDs.

Intangibles items such as virtual weaponry and characters from online games sold for real money.

Services of all kinds from finding a French tutor, a personal trainer or someone to clean the aquarium.
