With this deal, SkypeIn customers can choose an area code from major cities across Brazil and are assigned a regular access number from Transit to receive calls. Anyone may call the SkypeIn number wherever the user travels”, according to Transit Telecom Technology VP Alexandre Alves.

At launch, SkypeIn will be available in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Porto Alegre, Curitiba, Belo Horizonte, Campinas, Santos, Joinville, Caxias do Sul and São Jose dos Campos on subscription basis. The free voicemail that comes with SkypeIn allows customers to receive a voicemail message of up to 10 minutes from any user or traditional phone.
