Sohu Revenues Reach $108.3 Million in 2005
Sohu’s revenues have reached US $108.3 million for the year 2005. Sohu’s fourth quarter revenues reached US $30.5 million.
Sohu.com’s revenues have reached US $108.3 million for the year 2005. Sohu’s fourth quarter revenues reached US $30.5 million, a 27% increase compared to 2004 for the same quarter.
Advertising revenues reached $70.9 million, a 27% increase compared to 2004. Advertising revenues for the fourth quarter 2005 were $20.3 million, a 8% increase compared to the third quarter.
Charles Zhang, Chairman and CEO of Sohu.com, said: “We had a very good quarter. We continued to execute on our core business initiatives of growing our online advertising business and developing our healthy sponsored search segment following our search product upgrade to Sogou 2.5.
Our solid fourth quarter financial results, which have exceeded company top and bottom line guidance during a seasonally weak quarter, demonstrate the strength and momentum in our business. Fiscal 2005 experienced a solid 27% year-on-year increase in advertising revenues supplemented by our steadily improving wireless business.” [Source]
Non-advertising revenues for the fourth quarter reached $10.2 million, exceeding company guidance, with wireless revenues increasing 7% quarter-on-quarter.
GAAP net income for the fiscal year 2005 was $29.8 million, $0.77 per fully dilated share. GAAP net profit for the fourth quarter was $8.9 million, $0.23 per fully dilated share.
Operating profit for 2005 was $24.8 million with an operating profit margin of 23%
