ShopWiki is going to build a more complete and user-friendly ad-supported search engine. The company is building ShopWiki from the consumer’s point of view.

ShopWiki allows users to create buying guides in Wikipedia style. More than 1000 buying guides are created since its launch.

Kevin Ryan, ShopWiki’s founder and CEO, said: “When comparison shopping sites were built five years ago, they were built from the merchant’s perspective. We’re building ShopWiki from the consumer’s point of view.”[source

He added: “While marketing is important, having a better product is ultimately what wins. That’s where we’ll focus our efforts.”

ShopWiki has developed natural language search capabilities. That is able to process complex queries with price ranges and product features.
