US Internet Ad Revenues Increase 30% in 2005
US Internet advertising revenues have increased 30% in 2005, totaling $12.5 billion, according to a report by IAB. Internet ad revenues for the fourth quarter totaled $3.6 billion, a 34% increase compared to the fourth quarter of 2004.

Among the types of advertising, display ads totaled $2.5 billion, compared to $1.8 billion in 2004. Sponsorships totaled $627 million, compared to $770 million in 2004.
Slotting Fees totaled $125 million, compared to 193 million in 2004. Rich media totaled $1 billion, compared to $963 million in 2004.
Keyword search totaled $5.1 billion, compared to $3.8 billion in 2004. Classifieds totaled $2.1 billion, compared to $1.7 billion in 2004. Email totaled 251 million and referrals/lead generation totaled 753 million, compared to 96 million and 193 million respectively in 2004.
Greg Stuart, CEO of IAB, said: “Interactive Advertising continues to experience tremendous growth as marketers experience its overall effectiveness in building brands and delivering online and offline sales.
