Using the service, an advertiser can reach customers based on their previous online behavior on the advertiser’s product or service. User Retargeting recognizes a user when they have previously visited the advertiser’s site. Then it retargets customized ads when the advertiser is recognized to be among ValueClick’s Media Network.
John Ellis, vice president of product management at ValueClick, said: “Our new behavioral targeting solutions provide advertisers with increased campaign performance and incredible scale that can only be achieved on a network the size of ValueClick Media. According to ValueClick Media’s data, preliminary campaigns through User Retargeted have shown 26% increase in the average cost-per visitor. It has also shown a 59% increase in the average cost-per-sale, and overall conversion rates have increased 1,800%. Such user retargeted campaigns have generated a 223% increase in the average order value.
