Yahoo is offering Babel Fish, an online translation service. Users can enter the URL of any website in Yahoo Babel Fish’s website, select the language and get an instant translation of the webpage.


Yahoo is offering Babel Fish, an online translation service. Users can enter the URL of any website in Yahoo Babel Fish’s website, select the language and get an instant translation of the webpage.

Babel Fish was created by AltaVista. Yahoo acquired AltaVista in 2003.

Babel Fish offers 38 language translation pairs totally, including English-to-Korean, Dutch-to-French and Greek-to-English.

Yahoo has also added two new languages to Babel Fish. Users can now translate from simplified Chinese to traditional Chinese and vice versa.

Babel Fish is also available on Yahoo’s browser toolbar.
