Habeas has launched the Habeas Non-Profit Program. The program is aimed at helping non-profits increase delivery of their emails.

Organizations are made to complete a diagnostic review of their email practices. Once completed, they become whitelisted on the Habeas SafeList. Organizations with a U.S. 501(3)(c) form filed with the IRS are examined against Habeas Certify standards.

Once the organizations pass the certification test, they are added to the Habeas SafeList. According to Habeas, once a sender is added on the SafeList, most ISPs consider them a legitimate sender.

Des Cahill, CEO of Habeas, said: “With all the discussion and debate around email accreditation and reputation lately, Habeas wanted to introduce an affordable way for non-profit organizations to get their email delivered. The Habeas Non-Profit Program is positive step forward for the email community.” [Source]

In the event that an organization does not meet the certification standards, Habeas offers guidance in the necessary areas by evaluating the organization’s current practices.
