AOL has introduced ‘Active Security Monitor’, a free diagnostic tool that monitors PCs and Home Network giving a consolidated view of overall computer security.

AOL has introduced ‘Active Security Monitor’, a free diagnostic tool that monitors PCs and Home Network giving a consolidated view of overall computer security.

ASM determines a security score for PCs, and for all other PCs in the home network.

ASM provides services such as:

– A simple, clear display of the current security status of all the PCs in home network

– A security score, similar in concept to a credit score, that measures users exposure to viruses, identity theft and network intrusion.

– A recommended list of products, services and articles to help users resolve any security vulnerability found.

– Messages and alerts concerning user’s security software.
