Yahoo! has announced general availability of ‘Yahoo! Answers’, a website for people to ask and answer questions on various topic.


Yahoo! has announced general availability of ‘Yahoo! Answers’, a website for people to ask and answer questions on various topic.

Yahoo Answers was in beta since December 2005.

Now, Yahoo Answers is available in Australia, Canada, India, the UK and the US. It will be available soon in Spain, Germany and France.

Yahoo Search users can search the web in different languages and see relevant information from Yahoo Answers in their search results.

Key features of Yahoo Answers include:

– Search Ahead: Yahoo Answers searches ahead by keyword/question and displays exact or similar questions below

– Category Top Answerers: Users can see the category’s “top answerer” and users with the most “best answers” in a category

– RSS feeds: Users can display latest questions in a category or subcategory

– Yahoo! Product Integration: Yahoo Answers is integrated with other Yahoo products, which includes My Yahoo, Yahoo Tech, Yahoo 360, Yahoo Mail and Yahoo Messenger
