aQuantive has acquired Franchise Gator for $21.5 million in cash. With the acquisition, aQuantive aims at increasing its expertise in pay for performance marketing.

Franchise Gator is a provider of pay for performance digital marketing. They offer digital marketing services for franchises and new business services.

Mike Galgon, chief strategy officer of aQuantive, said: “Franchise Gator has built a strong pay for performance business. Its full service franchise marketing platform, coupled with aQuantive’s core digital marketing capabilities, will serve as the ‘must-have’ platform for franchisors in the U.S. and abroad.” [Source]

Franchise Gator expects $7.5 to $8 million net revenues in 2006. aQuantive expects to increase GAAP revenues and EBITDA revenues immediately with the acquisition.
