Yahoo! publisher network blog has provided ‘Product Guidelines for Ads’ for publishers.

Yahoo’s guidelines for Yahoo Publisher Network ad units include:

– Yahoo Publisher Network ad units should be easy to understand

– The ad units should be shown in the requested page and not as a pop-up or pop-under window or in an e-mail

– The ad units must be labeled as ‘Ads by Yahoo!’

– The ad units must not be associated with images or media on the page.

Yahoo’s guidelines for pages that contain Yahoo Publisher Network ad units include:

– The pages must be content-based and must not contain ant broken links

– The pages must be in English or Spanish

– The pages must respond adequately to user requests

– The pages must not actively encourage users to click on ads

– The pages must not disable the browser’s back button

– The pages must not automatically replace the browser homepage.
