Online video viewers grew 18% from October 2005 to March 2006. 3.7 billion people viewed videos in March 2006, according to comScore video metrix.

Key findings of comScore video metrix include:

– Among the total number of viewers 52% were male and 48% were female

– 16% videos were viewed during prime time hours and 22% on weekend

– During March, 42% of all U.S. Internet users viewed video through an entertainment sites

– 33% viewed from portals

– Consumers spent about one hour per month viewing Internet videos in March 2006.
