Mirror Image is going to upgrade its global Content Access Point network. The upgrade will include enhanced support for Windows media and Macromedia flash streaming services.

The upgrade will have increased storage capacity for content-based services. Mirror Image’s streaming capacity will increase by 600% after the upgradation, according to Mirror Image.

John O’Keefe, senior analyst for Current Analysis, said: “We’ve seen a huge rise this year in market demand for content delivery networks to deliver streaming media reliably”.

He added: “Mirror Image’s network upgrade comes at the perfect time to position the Company to expertly deliver whatever streaming media formats its clients choose, and benefit from this new end user surge”. [source]
