84 Million Americans have broadband at home. 42% of all American adults had a high-speed internet connection in March 2006, according to Pew Internet.

Key findings of Pew Internet’s report include:
– There was a growth of 68% since March 2005 among people who were earning $40,000 and $50,000 per year
– Broadband adoption among African Americans increased by 121% between 2005 and 2006
– 48 million internet users have posted content to the internet
– 22% of surveyed people don’t have broadband at home but they have a high-speed connection at work.
