Using WordPress Can Ban Your Blog

WordPress is no doubt an excellent blogging script but there’s a huge flaw in its pinging system.

This flaw can make your blog banned from pinging services no matter how innocent you are.

In fact, if you are using WordPress since a long time then it might have been already banned and you don’t even know.

Don’t worry, at the end of this article I’ll show you a free tool which can correct that flaw in WordPress.

Let’s see why it’s risky to use WordPress in its current form.

Whenever you post a new topic in your WordPress blog then by default WordPress pings to the ping services. That’s nice and that’s exactly what we want.

But do you know? WordPress pings even when you edit any post.

It’s simply useless since while pinging there’s actually no way to tell which post has been edited.

If you edit same posts 10 times then WordPress will ping 10 times.

If you edit your blog a lot then your blog will be banned from ping services because of excessive pinging.

Scheduling future posts in WordPress can also put your blog in trouble and gives all the reason to ping services to ban your blog

For example:

Say, you are going for a vacation for 30 days and you want to schedule 30 posts so that your blog gets updated daily.

You scheduled 30 posts by editing time stamp.

Here when you post 30 posts, wordpress sends 30 pings even though those posts haven’t yet appeared in your blog. After that, for 30 days wordpress won’t send a single ping, even though new post appeared in your blog.

Did you see WordPress pinged when there’s no need risking your blog to ban and it didn’t ping when pinging is really needed.

You can easily save your blog from such pinging problem by using a free plugin called ‘Post Schedule Ping Optimizer’. It corrects all the flaws in WordPress’s pinging system I have listed above.
