The number of worldwide Internet Protocol television subscribers will reach 48.8 million in 2010, according to Gartner.

The following is the data provided by Gartner:

– By the end of 2006, total IPTV subscribers will reach 6.4 million

– In 2007, IPTV subscribers will reach 13.3 million

– In 2005, there were 3.2 million IPTV subscribers worldwide

– North America will have the highest IPTV growth rates in the next five years

– Western Europe has the largest number of IPTV subscribers (1.6 million)

– By the end of 2006, France will have half of Western Europe’s IPTV subscribers.
