A got an email from a Scot Standke, who is selling a set of 254 videos, showing how easy it is to make money online. Who on earth has time to view 254 videos, and why should it take that, to make some money online?

I don’t think anyone is going to watch all 250 videos, in one sitting.

But when you need to learn a process like how to FTP, or set up a DNS, (which every website owner must do) would you rather figure it out on your own… or would you rather have someone “show you” how to do it?

Let me ask you question. What is your time worth?

If you earn $25 an hour at your day job, and it takes two hours to figure out how to set up the DNS for your site. That’s $50 of your time. You could have paid for all 250 videos, in the time it took you to figure that one thing out.

Now what happens when you need to FTP your files, from your hard drive to your server. (Another thing that every website owner must do.) Do you trade more of your time to figure it out… or go back to the videos that you already paid for?

Scot’s product is not about “making money” online per se. Scot’s videos are not in competition with any other product. It’s all about helping you, if you’re trying to “figure stuff out.”

There’s nothing worse than being on you’re on your own, when you’re trying to connect the dots. So rather than get frustrated, or give up, why not get something that will enhance your online experience and leave you happy.

Your offer is followed by an email from another guy selling something else. And another… and another. Which to choose? Who to believe? Who do I follow? And how do I know I can trust you? ~ James

Hello James. Why trust me? Afterall, trust is in very short supply. It’s worth more than gold. But unlike gold, trust is priceless, as it cannot be bought, only earned.

I’ve been marketing online and off, since the advent of 1200 baud modems and the Mac SE. We had Apple computers, PageMaker and PostScript Laserwriters. The triple A club some will remember as Adobe, Apple and Aldus.

It was all cutting edge stuff. And we were out to change to world.

Offline we were laser printing proofs and sending the files to PostScript service bureaus for film output. We brought in-house all the expensive stuff – like scanning – that used to be farmed out.

Online we used to use Compuserve, Prodigy and GEnie. That’s back before AOL or the public internet ever existed. It cost a whopping $20 per month for an autoresponder back then.

I’m in this line of work because I enjoy it. I have formal education and training in graphic design and communications. Graduated first in my class, and with the highest grade average ever awarded by the college.

After paying my dues and several years of training, I personally oversaw the print campaigns for several of the worlds largest food and office supply retailers. I personally created the ads for one of the world’s largest dairies for five straight years. In total, I’ve got over 20 years experience in advertising.

In 1988 I promoted a cellular company, using internet only strategies, to 3/4 of a million dollars in less than a year, without so much as a business card. It was then that I wrote my first book, Nothing but ‘Net to share everything that I learned.

Two years later, I was earning a six figure income through affiliate programs. I was working from home and wanted everyone to share in the same success. Out came my second book, a complete work from home training system, Clickin’ it Rich.

A few years after the affiliate success, I shared my secret linking strategies that remains unbeatable to this day…. Revenge of the Mininet. Not only was my concept plagiarized, copied and sold under many different brand names, linking became harder, so did SEO, and so did the way the search engines behaved.
