(1) Theme – IDEAS
“IDEAS can be life-changing. Sometimes all you need to open the door is just one more good IDEA.” – Jim Rohn, american businessman
IDEAS have been utmost in my mind, life and work for as long as I can remember. I have, however, even been concentrating more than ever lately. Why? Because I have been working toward the launch of my new e-book, “BUSY? Want IDEAS that Work? Invest Only 20 Minutes a Week for SUCCESS!”
For more than four and a half years I have been publishing this e-newsletter. Newer subscribers have asked if the back issues are archived anywhere, because they would like to read them.
Therefore, I decided to gather, compile and distill the essence of back copies, including all 101 motivation, inspiration and idea generators in one e-book. The book is set up for you to read and work on a theme a week. I figure that, at the most, this should take about 20 minutes.
The great news is that this mere 20 minutes will set the tone for the week. And, you will find that as the days and hours fly by, lots and lots of new IDEAS will fly into your life. Some of the IDEAS will work and others won’t. But you will never be without them again.

(3) Creativity – Our Minds Need IDEAS in Order to Conceive and Produce
“Just as our eyes need light in order to see, our minds need IDEAS in order to conceive.” – Nicolas Malebranche, French Philosopher
As I have said and written before, we are all creative, we just need the IDEAS – which are already there in our minds. And once we have those IDEAS, we need to decide what we must do with them, as Whitehead points out.
“IDEAS won’t keep; something must be done about them.” – Alfred North Whitehead, English mathematician
Questions to ask yourself. Is this IDEA worthy of more of my time and investigation? How can I expand this great IDEA? Should I ask others for help and/or advice? What plans and strategy should I use? How much will it cost? You get the IDEA – let me know how you proceed and succeed.

(4) Powerful Presentations – How to Get Listeners to Be Open to Your IDEAS
“If I can get you to laugh with me, you like me better, which makes you more open to my IDEAS. And if I can persuade you to laugh at the particular point I make, by laughing at it you acknowledge its truth.” – John Cleese, English actor
Cleese certainly knows what he is talking about here. When we succeed at getting our audiences laughing, we establish rapport immediately. And once we have that rapport and they like us, they will embrace our IDEAS and be open to taking action on them.
I have found, from experience, the truth of this, especially with my group fitness classes. I don’t consider myself to be a comedian, but by pointing out the humor – in the music, the moves, the sounds we make, and the counting – I get the whole class laughing. And now, they are with me and following my leads.
Hot Quotes
“The ability to convert IDEAS to things is the secret of outward success.” – Henry Ward Beecher, American clergyman
“Exchange IDEAS frequently.” – James Cash Penney, American businessman
“The IDEAS I stand for are not mine. I borrowed them from Socrates. I swiped them from Chesterfield. I stole them from Jesus. And I put them in a book. If you don’t like their rules, whose would you use?” – Dale Carnegie, American writer
“In the realm of IDEAS everything depends on enthusiasm… in the real world all rests on perseverance.” – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, German poet
“One can resist the invasion of an army but one cannot resist the invasion of IDEAS.” – Victor Hugo, French author
“The mind, once expanded to the dimensions of larger IDEAS, never returns to its original size.” – Oliver Wendell Holmes, American writer
“There are no original IDEAS. There are only original people.” – Barbara Grizzuti Harrison, American writer
“I do not ‘get’ IDEAS; IDEAS get me.” – Robertson Davies, Canadian novelist
“It is not once nor twice but times without number that the same IDEAS make their appearance in the world.” – Aristotle, Greek philosopher

(6) Storytelling Power – As Storytellers, We Have the Advantage of IDEAS for Nurturing Minds
“I’m in constant search of new information and IDEAS, and I want to make the best of this short time that we’re out here on this planet living this nebulous thing called life. And I want to plant a few trees along the way and nurture some minds and watch them grow, as people did for me.” – Joe Henderson, American musician
Even though Henderson is a musician, he certainly sounds like the epitome of a storyteller. We are always in search of new IDEAS, information and stories.
I have never met a serious storyteller who doesn’t want and try to nurture the minds of all of those they tell stories to. And, yes, so many storytellers have helped and watched me grow.
What trees are you planting along the way? Aren’t we lucky to be doing this? It may take time and effort, but it is definitely worthwhile!
(7) Freelance Living – Believe in Big IDEAS and Win Big Success!
“Believe Big. The size of your success is determined by the size of your belief. Think little goals and expect little achievements. Think big goals and win big success. Remember this, too! Big IDEAS and big plans are often easier – certainly no more difficult – than small IDEAS and small plans.” – David Joseph Schwartz, American businessman
What an exciting time we live in. It might be because with our access to the Internet, we are exposed to more people who “Believe Big,” as Schwartz suggests. I have read and heard more lately about mindset and attitude than in all my years in the motivational business.
It is time for all of us to make and use our big IDEAS and big plans. It is not too late to win big success – just do it and let me know about it. I want to share your stories!
(8) Letters and Feedback from You, Our Readers
I love receiving FEEDBACK (even if you don’t agree with me), so, e-mail me at chris@creativekeys.net and let all of us enjoy the fun of hearing from you.
Feedback from a subscriber about the last issue’s theme of LOVE:
Chris,
Thank you for this topic. Real LOVE for the people you are training will produce a more enthusiastic welcome of your material. What I mean is this, if we really care about helping the people we are training and value them as individuals they will sense that and respond. LOVE is very often mistaken as just an emotion or confused with sexually.
LOVE is a verb. It is describing an action. If I am LOVING my audience I am acting out of care and concern to be sure they benefit from the content I am presenting.
I desire to train by serving others with LOVE and not greed and arrogance which is easy to do. Let LOVE motivate us as we change hearts and minds through iraining. LOVE never fails.
