As a good web publisher, you should control your budget

I have repeated my statement a lot of times.

As an entrepreneur, you should control your budget properly. Maybe you make 5-figure every month. If your business expense is 5-figure, basically your net profit is zero.

Let me share a case with you.

In my last seminar in Bangkok, I knew a guy Sam who has started his web publishing business since December 2006.

As a starter, he is doing well. He makes around US$300 per month. It’s not bad, right?

“I suggest you to repeat your model as I think you have found your model” I said.

“I cannot. I have no budget.” Sam said.

Why…? You make $300 every month. It is a good start and you should position up your investment..

“I have no profit. I spend all money to a dedicated server.” Sam said.

How come a newbie spends all his income to a server?

If you were Sam, what you would have done?
