Add Free eCourses to Your Affiliate Marketing Arsenal

As an affiliate marketer one of the ways you can separate yourself from hundreds of other affiliates is to give your website visitors as much value as possible. One of the ways that you can stand out in the eyes of your visitors is to provide them with information that they might not be able to find anywhere else. A tremendous opportunity exists for you to do this by offering a free high quality multi-part ecourse.

Let’s say you are currently promoting a product on how write your own information product. In conjunction with this, you could offer a free 5 or 7 day ecourse, which will provide them with valuable information on the benefits of creating their own information products. Your newly created eCourse will be sent out to your subscribers over the next 5 to 7 days. Each part of the eCourse should contain a link to your affiliate page. One of the best places to include your affiliate link is underneath your signature. The link should take your customers directly to the product page you are promoting.

One of the biggest benefits of offering a free eCourse is that it gives you an opportunity to build your mailing list. All you need to do is design a simple opt-in page that provides information about the benefits to be achieved from subscribing to your free eCourse. Visitors will submit their email address and name and Viola! They will have the eCourse delivered to their inbox over the course of the next week. Hopefully, at least some of your subscribers will elect to buy the product from your affiliate link. If that is the case, you have made a few sales and also have gained several new subscribers to promote your other offers to. This is the ultimate win/win situation for any affiliate.

Now you may be sitting there thinking “Can I really write an course all by myself that will promote someone else’s product?”

I am here to tell you that YES, you can most definitely do it. It’s certainly not rocket science.

Depending on the product you are promoting the merchant may provide an eCourse for affiliates to use in promoting to their existing subscribers. If the merchant doesn’t provide a pre-written eCourse then do some research and write one up yourself. The eCourse doesn’t have to revolve around the exact product you are promoting. It only needs to relate in some way to the information the product offers.

Here is how you are going to do it! We are going to write a 5 day eCourse that will provide useful techniques, tips, and strategies on how to write an information product. Our daily topics might look like this:

Day 1 = How to Research Your Topic
Day 2 = How to Write Your Outline
Day 3 = Outsourcing Options vs. Writing Yourself
Day 4 = Compiling Your Ebook
Day 5 = Promoting Your Information Product

You really don’t want to give out too much information. Your ultimate goal is to get your subscribers to buy the product you are promoting, but you still can offer valuable tips without giving away the kitchen sink.

As I mentioned earlier in the article, don’t forget to include your affiliate link in the signature line of each installment of your eCourse. Also, don’t be afraid to weave your affiliate link into the body of the eCourse itself when appropriate. Let me give you an example of how this can be done:

“Learn the Secrets of Writing Killer Information Products by visiting, http://www.affiliatelinkgoeshere.com“.

Once your subscriber has received all 5 or 7 days of the course you should follow-up with your subscribers. Offer more information that is related to writing information products. By offering your subscribers a free eCourse you will go a long way towards distancing yourself from other affiliates promoting the same product. This is not only a great way to generate affiliate commissions, but it’s also a terrific way to increase subscribers to your email marketing list.
