Party Your Way To Huge Joint Ventures

If you’ve ever been to an Internet marketing seminar or event – or to any event related to your specific niche industry – you probably noticed how hard it is sometimes to approach the “big” players in the room.

You know, if you could just capture their attention and get just one of them to promote what you’re doing to their list, you’d be off and running. But – it appears everyone else at the seminar has the same idea. Every major “player” (especially the speakers) is constantly surrounded by people clamoring for their attention.

How do you break through this?

One way is to work your way up through the ranks slowly, earn some recognition in your industry, then train as a speaker and get invited to speak at these same seminars. Then people will be crowding around you.

But – that’s a pretty long haul to undertake. And there’s no guarantee you’ll ever get there without a good JV or two under your belt first.

Here’s another way.

Go to an event. Rent a suite for one night while you’re there. If you can afford to spend the money, get it for all the nights you’ll be staying there. After you’ve tried this trick once or twice, you’ll need to get used to living like that, anyway.

Now – go buy some liquor and soda and beer. Figure two drinks per person and get enough to handle however many people your suite can comfortably handle.

Then print some invitations to your special invitation-only after-hours event party. Leave a space blank to fill in with the name of the person you’re inviting and another to write in the room number, day and time.

Then, whenever you have a chance during the first day or two of the event, network. Introduce yourself. Talk to folks.

Invite people to your party – especially anyone who is even a moderate player in your industry and anyone who has demonstrated to you that they know the people you would like to work with.

Give this last group two invitations – one for them and one for their friend.

Now, sit back, host a really fun party, talk to everyone and see what kind of deals come out of it.

If none do, never fear. Just make sure you get the full contact info for everyone who shows up before they leave.

There’s nothing like a good party to bring people together and make them feel they’ve shared something enjoyable. This will give people who attended your party a great feeling about you. They’ll definitely remember you when you call them with an idea for a joint venture.

In fact – don’t press working together at the party at all. Just party. Be fun.

This is what I call brick-and-mortar social networking. It’s what the online version was created to try and duplicate and it works so much better than online social networking, you could wind up with some incredible contacts capable of helping you make tons of money in your business from a room of just 10 people.

Give it a try. It’ll cost a few hundred dollars. But, that’s only the price of a moderately good training course that, by itself, won’t make you much money at all. If your budget’s tight – get some of your friends who are in business to chip in and split the cost.

One excellent deal will more than pay for everything five times over. And you get to justify sleeping in a suite while you’re there.

It’s a tough job – but somebody’s gotta do it, right?

I’m throwing a party Friday night in Orlando, during Ken McArthur’s JV Alert LIVE seminar, at 8:00 p.m. eastern time. If you’re there … look me up. I might have an invite or two left. We’ll hold a drink for ya.

See you next week!
