SEO or PPC which Traffic Buys More
Which sells better, the top organic SEO listing or the top PPC listing? The only way to find out? Run a test.
In order for this to work, I had to be the top PPC bidder. My ad had to show up above the organic listing in Google, not over on the right hand side, with all the other PPC ads.
The organic listing resulted in 52% of the traffic and 48% of the sales. The PPC ad was the exact opposite.48% of the traffic, yet 52% of sales.
Your market will vary, but it does answer one very important question. If you have the top organic listing, does it pay to have the top PPC listing as well? My test results are a conclusive
yes. It doubled the amount of sales.

The Skinny on eMail
I polled 300 random people. 98% have one or more cell phones. 32% of them have read email on their mobile device.
After researching the character width displayed by Motorola phones, Apple iPods, iPhones, Blackberry and Nokia phones, I discovered that 43 characters is the lowest common denominator.
By using skinny emails, I can increase my immediate audience, because something that mobile users detest,is sideways scrolling to read emails. By hard wrapping my text at 43 characters,I’m pretty much guaranteed that my emails can be read by everyone.
I also polled if an email was flagged as being “read” on their mobile device, would they go back read it again when they returned to their main computer.Over 60% said no.
Sometimes you don’t get a second chance.

Good Videos Increase Sales
You must keep the audience engaged, motivate and persuade them to take action. An effective video – that matches your content – will do that.
Spend only a couple of minutes on this site and you’ll see what I mean. You CAN produce this level of quality, and it won’t take years in a broadcasting school, or bust the bank.

National Companies Local Search
The yellow pages directory got delivered to 250 condo units where I live. According to the caretaker, whom I paid him to count, 52% of the directories were recycled within 24 hours.
After four days, just over 65% had been recycled. What a waste. Obviously the phone company doesn’t, “get it.”
When you need a local service, you turn to the internet. You search Google or Yahoo to find what you need.
On the other side of the coin, most local service industries don’t “get it” either. Everyone, right down to the corner hair salon, pub and gas station needs a website. So why don’t they have one?
People – under 50 – don’t turn the yellow pages for anything. Both the phone companies and local services, need to pull their heads out of their collective asterisks and get with the
program.
But in the mean time, if you’re an affiliate marketer, there’s a lip smacking, droolworthy, profit making monster sitting right in front of your eyes. Think local services but national companies. Big household name companies that have affiliate programs.
Glass chip repair, bottled water, gym memberships, are just a few local services that have nation-wide brands and affiliate programs. Now you can do your SEO and PPC to include
demographic information.
Set up the folders on your server to be province, city name, electoral district,or common folk name of the area.Optimize your each landing page in a similar fashion.
For example, ZipGlassChipRepair.com /bc/vancouver/fairview.html
This way, people doing local search, will still find big brand names they know and trust, and you’ll make the affiliate commission. All because you took the time to do what the yellow
pages couldn’t do and local services didn’t do.

What are You Afraid of…
Elaborate excuses, fussing aimless, puffing the flames of perfection, never getting off the ground. It’s all just fear disguised as procrastination the closer you get to your goals. Fear
of failure, fear of success, fear of the unknown.
It’s been said that a smart person learns from their mistakes… but a wise person seeks out a smart person,so they don’t make the mistakes in the first place.
Let me ask you. Have you picked a market? Are you moving towards your goal. Is your website converting? Are your customers returning?
There are 14 spots remaining at the Pro level in my private site. Be one of them and you’ll always have someone you can turn to for advice. You can pick up the phone and get advice any time you like. You don’t even need an appointment.
