10.5 How to Tell if Your eMail Gets Delivered

Always Bcc Yourself on eMail. If the Bcc doesn’t get through, chances are… neither did your original email.

(One day I’ll have to make a list of things you cannot say in email, but it will have to be a PDF. I can’t send it via email…because it would be filtered out. 😉

If your Bcc email didn’t get through, try sending it from a different account, one that you own the hosting for.

In other words, don’t send it from Gmail,Mac, Me, AOL, Yahoo or any other third party service. They are often filtering the mail as its being sent, not just received,but as it’s SENT.

Set up your own email account on a hosting account that you own and control. And always Bcc yourself. It’s your best bet for getting uncensored communications delivered.

(Bcc is an abbreviation for blind carbon copy. It’s a copy of an e-mail sent to someone whose name and address isn’t visible to other recipients.)
