In his latest email Ken McCarthy talks on “True story”. [‘System 2009 Seminar’]

In his latest email Ken McCarthy talks on “True story”.

Ken says, “A couple of years ago, I met an Internet marketer who used to be a rocket scientist.

Literally.

A rocket scientist.

The guy (his name is Karl Blanks) has his degree from Cambridge University in the fine art of
shooting things in the air.

He and his business partner, Ben Jesson, have turned out to be two of the smartest and nicest people I’ve met in 16 years in the business.

Great trainers too as attendees at System 2009 learned.

Then, not long ago, I discovered that one of my students, Mark Attwood was a fighter pilot with the RAF (the Royal Air Force.)

*** Is it a sign?

Today, as coincidence would have it, I’m sitting in the Quality Inn practically at the gates of Andrews Air Force base killing time before a private, insiders-only session with Lloyd
Irvin and someone we’ll call Mr. X. for now. (more on this in a future e-mail.)

Lloyd, besides being national and world champion in a bunch of martial arts (most recently World Champion in Brazilian Jujitsu), is a formidable Internet marketer whose businesses push the high seven figures in sales in each year.

I’m proud to say, Lloyd got his foundation in Internet marketing from the System – and he still comes to every System he can make…if he or one of the athletes he trains isn’t competing somewhere.

*** Rocket scientists, fighter pilots, world class athletes

When I first got involved in the then-fledging field of Internet marketing sixteen years ago, I never imagined I’d be meeting, much less working with people like this.

You know how people often say “The best thing about this business is the people you meet.”

Well, it may take a while to find the right group, but when you do, it makes all the searching worthwhile.

Speaking of which…

The former rocket scientist and his business partner and the former fighter pilot are going to join me for what probably will be my last live training in the UK this September.

Last year, we had people come from as far away as Australia and America for this training and get together…and no one went home crying.

It’s called the System Intensive.

If you’re interested, today is the DEADLINE for getting the best deal on tuition.

Ken

P.S. When I was seven years old, I wrote a letter to NASA.

I have no idea what put the thought in my head or even how I found their address, but somehow I did.

I asked all kinds of crazy questions about space travel.

Months went by and I never heard back so forgot all about it.

Then one day, a big envelope arrived in the mail.

It was from NASA.

It was filled with posters of planets and rockets.

The year was 1967 and I can’t tell you what a thrill it was in the pre-Internet, pre-video game,
heck pre-color TV days to get mail from NASA – especially for a seven year old.

Who knows?

Maybe this experience is at the root of my ongoing obsession with mail, printed and
electronic.

We won’t have an astronauts in London, but between Karl and Mark, we’re getting pretty
close.

An Internet marketing event you don’t want to miss…
