Bill Myers’ ‘Tip of the Week’:

Bill Myers Tip of the Week – October 31, 2009

Even though the economy is slow, people are still spending money.

In fact, if you know where to look, you’ll discover consumers in a frenzied bidding war for the kinds of items you can find at your local thrift store.

Here’s an example.

Using the free http://www.auctionhotlister.com, I created a ‘most wanted’ list of vintage watches with the most bids at eBay.

Then using that list as a guide, I went to my local Goodwill store, and found a men’s watch offered for $10 that was selling for more than $200 on my ‘most wanted’ list.

Having the ‘most wanted’ list let me quickly identify and acquire an item which could generate a substantial profit when I resell it on eBay.

But it’s not just eBay where these ‘most wanted’ lists can give you an advantage.

They can also help you identify hidden niches and demand for items that sell for high dollar amounts.

This kind of information can be useful when creating how-to products or looking for topics for ad supported sites or discussion forums.

To create your own ‘most wanted lists’ use the free tool at http://www.auctionhotlister.com

I think you’ll be quite interested in what you find.
