Willie Crawford relates how having a toxic, negative personality, or discussing the wrong topic on Twitter, can have the same effect as being a termite who poisons the entire colony.

Exterminators wipe out termite colonies by placing poison where individual termites get the poison on themselves. Termites are social creates who groom each other. When those with poison on them are groomed, it rapidly spreads throughout the colony, eventually poisoning all community members.

Willie, who was in the top-10 on the list of “The 50 Most Powerful And Influential Men In Social Media” in 2008, shares “the rules” for not being a spreader of toxins on Twitter.
