Each Season Can Bring Info Marketing Success
You might not realize it when you start or even while you are working away as an info marketer, but the changes of seasons really do affect your work levels and ultimately your annual success.
If you are an info marketer, you’re working all of the time. Whether you are researching, writing, or putting together your financial books, you are on the go. With that in mind, you are
probably keen on developing a nice professional rhythm where you are doing your work with a certain amount of stability.
But then comes a problem: the trees start to turn color and it’s Thanksgiving. Then comes Christmas. Or a national holiday. These are special times where entrepreneurs see increases in
their own success. But why? Better yet, how do you get onboard?
Considering the year’s changing seasons is crucial to your success as an info marketer. If you are conscious of how time changes around you, there’s no reason why you can’t get in on
the action. It just takes a little work.
First off, get your calendar out. Mark the special holidays and even the days of the year where a transition occurs — i.e. fall into winter. Keep those marked days handy so you can refer
back to them at a moment’s notice.
Once you’ve done that, get out your pen and paper, jot down those dates and figure out how they could potentially affect your information marketing business. These transitions,
holidays, and special times of the year are key for information marketing promotions. Like a department store, information marketers are wise to get into the season festivities early and
start offering specials on their products and services. You have a ton of options here. If summer is coming, think about doing a summer-related info book related to your business. If
Christmas is coming, think about offering a two-for-one deal on an info product or a discount on a newsletter subscription.
The change of seasons can be a well-spring of information marketing success, but you have to do your homework in order to prepare for these times.
Considering the seasons also helps you plan your business ventures/events/work periods. If you want to attend a seminar or convention, think about what your info topic is and what season has events related to your topic. If it’s cars and automotive information, keep the summer calendar open. If it’s skiing, hockey, or other winter sports, the months of September to April are the times you will be busy collecting new sports info as it happens. Work periods increase and decrease with seasonal change, and info marketers should do a little work to prepare for this.
Finally, the consideration of the seasons is worthwhile for info marketers in one more small but important regard: their personal lives. Entrepreneurs have a reputation of being busy all the time, so when you are planning your year, don’t forget to block aside some holiday time. But be sure to do it at a low point in your business’ year. If Christmas seems like it will be a good way to get some extra info products out the door, save your two-week holiday for February, when business has died down. This will help you manage your life better and keep all parties in your business and family happy.
Information marketing is something that is both a timeless venture and something that is affected by time itself. If you do the work, though, you can get the changing of the seasons to
work for you. When the winds change, there’s always new potential for info marketing success.
