In his latest email Ken McCarthy talks on “What About the Economy?”. [‘System Seminar’]

Ken says , “Entrepreneurs are famous for bravado in the face of down times.

That’s a good thing.

You know the “I choose not to participate in the recession” thing.

It’s the right attitude.

On the other hand…

The best way to avoid hitting icebergs is to know where there are.

There’s something in certain people’s entrepreneurial DNA that makes them afraid to look down.

I’m not.

In 2005, I warned my System Club members to not base future business plans on the endless
availability of easy credit

(There’s a chapter about this in my book “System Club Letters.”)

When people ask me how I knew, my answer is “I follow the financial news and assume that
99% of it is total BS.”

That formula has never let me down 🙂

I’ve put together a web site that compiles videos of the few bits of financial truth that occasionally squeak through and make it onto TV.

It’s called Real Econ TV.

You may find it useful, informative, sometimes even entertaining…and it might even help you avoid hitting an iceberg or two.
