DrNunley’s ‘Marketing Tips’ ezine article titled “Here’s How to Write Your Own Killer Sales Letter” is reprinted here.

If you market with letters, postcards, flyers, web sites, or autoresponders, you need killer sales copy. Here are some quick
tips to help you write your own professional sales letters.

1. Start with a headline. Even for more formal business letters, a bold type headline helps busy people understand your most important benefit in a flash. Make your headline short, punchy, and clear. Your headline should SHOUT the most important benefit customers get from your product or service.

2. Spend a few sentences showing the reader how bad their problem is. Show them how the problem will get worse.

3. Show the prospect how your product or service will solve that problem. List your main features and tell how each feature translates into a benefit.

4. Wrap up your sales copy with a vision of your prospect’s life after they’ve benefited from your product or service. Show how they are happier, richer, more relaxed, or sexier.

5. Be sure to tell prospects how to contact you and how and where to buy from you.
