Helping offline businesses get online can be a lucrative business, but it can also be hard to get started. Typically, starting requires cold calling to local merchants who need to create an online presence. Many are too busy. Many are too skeptical. And many are too reluctant to commit money to a project.

But there is a better (and easier) way. Provide obvious value to a business owner and they no longer see you as a pushy sales rep. You’re a helper and you can become an adviser. When you do, they get to know you, like you can ultimately trust you. At this point, you can offer them a contractual relationship in which you can do a whole lot more for their business, and now they will listen with interest. This way you’ll earn more money and have more fun doing it (because cold calling is never fun.)

In The Sweet Talker, Alex Cass reveals his techniques for getting offline clients that earned him $5000 in his very first month (and that continue to increase his income), and he says you can copy these “seductive” techniques to land new clients of your own.

He concentrates on techniques that are not perceived as “selling” so you don’t raise red flags in people’s minds.

Instead, he says, these techniques will help you gain a hearing with the real decision-makers of your prospective clients and incite an interest in your services before you present any offer to them.

You want to be seen as an expert and as the obvious provider of marketing services and the go-to person whenever a business needs online services.

If offline consulting is a part of your business, Cass has more to tell you here: The Sweet Talker
