7 Tips to Get More Links
Link building helps you get a good search engine ranking and can grow your web presence. Getting quality links is also a challenge.
Search Engine Land columnist Julie Joyce has shared seven tips to be more likable to get more links.
On ‘negotiation’ in link building, Joyce says, “Stop trying to make something work that just isn’t going to happen. If a webmaster says no, accept it and don’t keep trying to find 10 different ways to make it work. Sometimes we do push back a little bit if we feel like the webmaster doesn’t fully understand what we’re asking for, but usually, if a webmaster says no, it’s because he or she doesn’t think it’s a good fit. You have to respect that, even if you do mutter to yourself all day afterward about it. You want a link. That can easily cloud your judgment at times”.
