We work real hard to make out websites stand out. But many a times very simple looking sites also make much more impact than the overly designed sites.
Such simple sites have adopted the flat design concept. In HubSpot’s words “Flat design is a user interface style that uses simple two-dimensional elements, minimal textures, and bright colors”.
HubSpot columnist Caroline Forsey has shared an useful article on how flat design helps webmasters. She has also shared examples of some of the successful websites.
Forsey says, “If you think flat design is just a short-term trend, think again — Usabilla surveyed 100 professionals and found 68 percent believe flat design will affect how we design for the web, long-term.
