Google has moved its Ads SPI back to the beta mode due to certain performance issues.

What is Google Ads API

The Google Ads Application Programming Interface (API) is designed for developers representing large, tech-savvy advertisers and third parties. This includes agencies, search engine marketers (SEMs), and other online marketing professionals who manage multiple client accounts or large campaigns.

One of the issues mentioned by Google is “slow response times compared to the AdWords API”.

says, “We take performance very seriously, and this is our highest priority to address. In the meantime, we’re reverting Google Ads API back to beta status and recommend production systems to use AdWords API for the best experience.

If you’re currently using the Google Ads API in production, please contact googleadsapi-support@google.com to discuss recommendations specific to your use cases”.
