The Stories features of both Facebook and Instagram are lucrative for brands and marketers as they provide an easy way to approach prospects and customers.

The Impact contributor Ramona Sukhraj has published an useful article comparing the Instagram Stories and Facebook Stories. She has also shared some tips on how to choose the best platform for your marketing needs.

Sukhraj says, “Instagram launched its version of stories first, in 2016, to many accusing it of copying Snapchat — and in several ways it was.

Both catered to vertical video/photos, included augmented reality filters, and could only be viewed for 24 hours, but, as history shows, it didn’t take long for Instagram to surpass Snapchat, welcoming twice as many daily active users as its predecessor in just eight months.

Noticing this popularity, Facebook launched stories in 2017. It mimicked its little sister’s interface almost perfectly, but without many of the extra “stickers” and filming options that have made it a hit among younger users”.
